???A Happy Happy 2018 to You all!

I was sitting here at a cafe doing a look back on 2017 and contemplating on what possible resolutions to make this year, when I realized:

I shouldn?t be overly worried about making resolutions. Rather, I should focus all my energies in creating intentions.

Exactly a year ago, I wrote down my ?resolutions? and like all other people I aimed for the STAR.

I wrote things that ? if I was being completely honest with myself ? didn?t really ring true even for me then.

I was just going along with the norm and setting resolutions ? the same resolutions that will surely be set again a year later.

These were things like :

? lose 20 Kg

? make 1 million USD

? have 7,000 likes on FB

? take dance classes three times a week

? play the piano and sing at the same time

And you guessed right: NOTHING came true!!!

But I also made a different list. This was written in my journal when I was thinking of what I intend to have in 2017:

a clear foundation for how I want my business and career would evolve

? a team of people that support me in my work and in my life

? visibility and easy recognition

? a draft/an outline for a book

On December 28, 2017, as I looked back and reviewed the year, I achieved everything I intended but nothing I wrote in my resolution.

The funny thing is, not only did I achieve everything, I even exceeded my expectations then:

I now have a clear foundation AND strategy for how I intend my career and business to evolve

? I have a team of people who support me both in business and in my personal life.

? I regularly receive messages that come with a photo attached because a word, a sentence, a picture reminded them of me and my message.

? I not only have a draft for a book, but I actually co-authored one that is now available at Amazon and soon locally available in different countries

So why is it that the things I intended happened but not those that I wrote in my resolutions?

One word: ENERGY.

The energies behind the word ?Resolutions? and ?Intentions? are polar opposites.

Resolutions stand for something that needs resolving because something is broken.

Intentions stand for creating space for things to materialize.

As humans, our most intrinsic nature is to CREATE and not FIX. We were placed on earth to build, to create and to design a life that supports our purpose?our mission here.

Therefore when we INTEND for things to happen, they do.

But when we RESOLVE? They don?t?

The mere word ?resolve? has such a downing energy and such a depressing energy that it pulls down OUR OWN WILL because at a cellular level, we know that we are not broken and thus don?t need any ?resolving?.

So start 2018 right by scrapping the phrase ?New Year?s Resolutions? and MAKING INTENTIONS for the year!

Blessing of miracles,
