???When you own your worth, and you stand out bold in your individuality? you?re going to be noticed. 

And when you?re seen, not everyone will like you. Not everyone will agree with you. Not everyone will have nice things to say.

Especially in the digital age when haters can hide behind their keyboard, sometimes feedback can be pretty unpleasant. I should know, I get my share. 

So how do I handle the haters?

I look at their feedback simply as an expression of their difference. 

If I get to express MY difference, and own MY difference, why shouldn?t they? I engage them in conversation and ask them questions. I thank them for sharing their opinions and then I respectfully disagree with them.

Look - 

We all have different perspectives, we all see things differently, and we all live different lives. The greater our visibility, the greater the number of people who will form an opinion of us. Just don?t take the haters personally. 

And if they?re truly nasty?

Let them stew in their own juices or take legal actions if necessary. 

Remember:

• You?re not anyone?s trash can.
• You don?t need to justify anything. 
• You don?t owe anyone anything. 

And most importantly? 

Someone somewhere in this world needs to hear what you have to say today. Show up for that one person scrolling through social media looking for her/his ray of sunshine for the day.
